The Wheels on the Bus Go Round and Round...

Yes, the older kids have boarded their buses and the house is quiet.

Ha!

Mirabelle did not want me to be lulled into a false sense of serenity the day the kids started back to school, so she ratcheted up her activity level as soon as the bus pulled away. By 10am she had:

• Located Ethan's deodorant, removed the cap and started shredding it with her nails
  
• Pushed a toy table next to the porch door and stood on top of it
• Licked the kitchen floor while lying on her tummy (I know. Yech!)
• Opened the diaper pail lid and stuck her hand inside (also gross, but her hands are easier to wash than her tongue)
  

The first week of school is going well for the big kids. Ethan is excited about his name for German class ("Bruno") and Gracie has worn tennis shoes successfully for two days. Maybe flip-flop fights and shoe tantrums will become mere memories...
